Daddy's Visit

A few weeks ago John was able to get away from work for a week to come back to KC and spend his birthday with us.  It seemed like he was only here for a day or two.  Time went by so fast!  We went on a few fun play dates with Daddy and of course had dinner with both John's family and mine.  It was a great week and that is when we decided on going the renting route.  Saying goodbye was hard - but hopeful as we were pretty sure this was going to be the last month apart.

John and I arrived home from the airport late and the boys were sound asleep.  He managed to rouse Aaron enough to sort of register that daddy was home but the real welcome home was the next morning.  Ethan stood up in his crib and shouted, "Daddy! Daddy! Daddy!"  And then both boys came and snuggled daddy in bed.  The picture says it all!
We spent some time at Grandma and Granddad's and celebrated both Grandma and Daddy's birthdays.
We went to Kaleidoscope at Crown Center and then to Fritz's for lunch one day.
There were some good snuggles for daddy.

We went to the Johnson County Museum with Grandma and Granddad and then to a different Fritz's another day!

We flew kites.  Or we attempted to, but there was no wind.
And we celebrated Daddy's birthday with special Oreo frozen treats.

The week went by far too fast!  Only 15 days until we are with daddy for good!!! We can't wait!
