As I sit here and type this, John is in the other room
desperately trying to get Ethan to fall asleep.
The kids are so out of routine and in a totally new and exciting place
and therefore are having trouble napping and sleeping. I am looking forward to finding a groove
again though I fear it will be a while before that happens!
This is night two in
our new home in Golden Colorado. It has
been a whirlwind of packing, loading, unloading, and unpacking. And unpacking. And unpacking. I don’t think I’ll ever get unpacked. It seems soooo overwhelming!
But right now as I sit among the seemingly
hundreds of boxes I cannot help but feel grateful. We could not have done it without the help of
our family. Thank you for pitching in
and helping us get through this huge ordeal!
I’m going to attempt to thank everyone but please forgive me if I leave
you out. I do not mean to, it’s just I’m
exhausted and not thinking straight!
First off, a huge thank you to Matt and Jacquelyn for
letting John live with you for three long months in your one bedroom apartment
taking up your living room. Thank you
dad for helping us pack up on Sunday and for picking up our Uhall trailer for
us. We were able to go to one last
service at our church while you picked it up and that meant a lot to us. Mom, Chelsee, and Grammy, thank you for
watching the boys while we worked on Sunday, cooking us dinner, and for working
your rears off to clean our house from top to bottom and in every nook and
cranny on Monday. You helped us leave the
house perfect for our renter and they are very lucky to have such a nice clean
house to move into. Thank you Ron, Mikey, and Brian for helping us Sunday to
get everything loaded into the truck and trailer. I know you were worn out by the end of the
day! Thank you Teresa for watching the
boys all day on Monday and for making the trip with us and helping with the
boys. I know it is no easy feat to
corral the boys, especially when they are excited and tired at the same
time. And lastly, but in no way least,
thank you to everyone – family and friends alike - who gave us sweet gifts and
encouraging words. I won’t name
everything on the blog but we have been blessed with gifts of snacks, food,
toys, books, and money. We are so grateful. We could not have done this without any of
you. Please know how much we appreciate
what you have done for us and that we will sincerely miss you.
