I know I have tons of posts to catch up with and wrap up 2012. For now, while it is fresh, I think I'll blog about our tubing adventure today. Chelsee, Katie, Adam, John, the boys and I headed into the mountains today in search of inexpensive sledding or tubing. The resorts are so expensive and we read about a few places that were free to sled. One place we read about said it was free to sled, $5 per hour for tube rentals and included a lift. Only downfall was it was in Leadville - two hours from our house. Worth it? We thought we would check it out and do some sight seeing along the way.
We took our sweet time getting there, stopping at the continental divide on Loveland pass to snap a picture, eating lunch in Breckenridge, and driving past at least 4 ski resorts. When we arrived we discovered there was no lift... So we hoofed it to the top and gave it a go. In my opinion it was worth the drive and the huffing and puffing just to hear the boys squeals of delight! They had so much fun! I think we all enjoyed ourselves though we were pretty tired after a few runs.
