A few weeks ago we got to celebrate Ethan's 3rd birthday. Three years old!! We had fun celebrating pirate style with Grandma and Granddad and Uncle Matt and Aunt Jacquelyn. It was all about Jake and the Neverland Pirates! Dinner and a treasure hunt. The perfect evening for our sweet baby, I mean, big boy.
Stay tuned for a video of the treasure hunt, some gift opening, and the birthday song. I'm trying to consolidate it!
Dear Ethan,
Another year older! Mommy and Daddy are so proud of you. You continue to be our little love bug, using your sweet hugs and dimples to melt the hearts of many and turn us to mush. You love to snuggle. Especially after nap time with your blankie and whomever is willing to hold you in their lap and watch a show with you. You are doing great in preschool which you started last month going twice a week. We love your many pictures and "crafts" that you make us at school, the Y, and at home. You can write E's really well and are learning to write your name. Your vocabulary is growing every day. You're are quite the little snacker, especially when it comes to fruit. You would eat any fruit we put in front of you and it is often hard to keep strawberries, blueberries, or grapes in the refrigerator as you like to stealthily steal them! You are a good helper when we give you tasks and are getting better about doing your "chores" before bed. You LOVE to play outside. Dirt is your best friend and you much prefer to run around barefoot even in the cold. Your little Strider is well worn as you love riding it at skateboard parks along side your brother. And speaking of your brother, you look up to him and constantly try to do things just like him. But you also like to pick on him! You are starting to realize you can bug him and make him start a fight with you and then get it all blamed on him! You love to wrestle your brother. And fight with pretend weapons. And bust out your ninja moves. But the fun is over when you get hurt. You've gotten better at shaking it off though. It's usually not anything that mommy or daddy can't kiss and make better. Or a good snuggle can't solve. Now that you have a trampoline, you love to jump with your brother and make up new tricks. Mommy is thankful you are able to burn off so much energy in it! We love you so much. Keep smiling that adorable toothless smile! Here's to another year bubs!
